Facial cleansing vs. facial molding: which one your skin needs

One cleans the skin; the other works on circulation and facial tension. How to choose (or combine).

Marta C. team

These are Marta C.’s two facials, and people often ask which one to book. It depends on what bothers you: the skin (pores, blackheads, shine) or the face (puffiness, tension, a tired look).

Facial cleansing: for the skin

The deep cleansing facial cleans in depth: removes makeup, exfoliates, prepares the pore, extracts blackheads and impurities and finishes by soothing and hydrating for your skin type. It is the base of any routine and shows most in texture and radiance.

  • Enlarged pores or blackheads.
  • Oily, combination or dull skin.
  • Daily makeup.

Facial molding: for the face

Facial molding applies the principles of Molding 5 in 1 to the face: 100% manual work, no machines or chemicals, that boosts circulation, helps clear retained fluid and releases tension in the jaw, forehead and neck.

  • Under-eye puffiness in the morning.
  • Clenched jaw or forehead tension.
  • A tired look and wanting a relaxing facial.

Can I combine them?

Yes, and they complement each other well. Alternating is usual: a regular cleansing for your skin type and facial molding when you want to de-puff or switch off. At your assessment we recommend the order and frequency.

When to wait

If you have very inflamed acne, cold sores, sunburn or had a peel or facial procedure recently, check with your dermatologist or doctor first.
